BOAT PAPER ORIGAMY


 

Origami boat

You will need

  • A4 sheet of paper

 

Instructions

  1. Fold an A4 sheet in half.
  2. Fold in half again and unfold. Fold the corners down to the centre line.
  3. Fold the bottom strip upwards and fold the corners over. Turn over.
  4. Fold bottom strip upwards.
  5. Open out and fold to form square.
  6. Fold bottom half (triangle) upwards. Turn over and repeat this step to form a triangle.
  7. Open out as in step 5 again.
  8. Take the top two corners and pull apart to form the boat.

turn folded piece over
TURN OVER
fold bottom flap up on this side
FOLD THE BOTTOM STRIP UP AGAIN
open out and fold the paper other way
OPEN OUT AND FOLD THE OTHER WAY TO FORM A SQUARE
folded flat into square shape
FOLDED OUT AND INTO A SQUARE
lift up one flap and fold down the other way
FOLD BOTTOM HALF (TRIANGLE) UPWARDS
turn over and fold flap up to form triangle shape
TURN OVER AND REPEAT FOLD BOTTOM HALF (TRIANGLE) UPWARDS
open out again back the other way
OPEN AND OUT AND FOLD BACK THE OTHER WAY AS IN STEP 5.

FOLDING OUT AND FLAT AS IN STEP 5
pull the two points at top of shape out away from each other
TAKE TOP TWO CORNERS AND PULL APART TO CREATE BOAT SHAPE
